It is important to understand the difference between the two stages of TB: Latent TB and Active TB.
LATENT TB: Inactive stage that is not contagious. The individual does not experience any symptoms.
ACTIVE TB: Bacteria can spread via droplets generated by the coughs or sneezes of an infected individual. This stage can occur anytime after a person is infected with the causative bacteria.
Common symptoms of Active TB include:

Weight loss

Fever
-
Fatigue
-
Night sweats
Symptoms of TB of the lungs may include:

Coughing
-
Chest Pain
-
Coughing up of blood
TB in other parts of the body may be associated with different set of symptoms, depending upon the area affected. For example, TB in the spine may cause back pain.
